''In this podcast we take a look at everyday life in Kilkenny during the year 1922.  Even in times of the greatest upheaval, everyday life, somehow, manages to go on. Births, deaths, marriages and even divorcees still took place. 'Unmarried mothers' , and judgement of these women, was a topic never far from the headlines. In addition, claims for compensation give us fascinating insights into the destruction caused by the Civil War. Everything imaginable was claimed for,  including malicious damage in the Castlecomer coal mines to false teeth going missing! ''
